February 28th - Akira was added to the mobile game SEGA Heroes on the iOS and Android platforms.

Feburary 14th - Sarah was added to the mobile game SEGA Heroes on the iOS and Android platforms.

January 31st - Kage was added to the mobile game SEGA Heroes on the iOS and Android platforms.

January 16th - Pai was added to the mobile game SEGA Heroes on the iOS and Android platforms.

2018

January 1st - 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Virtua Fighter.

July 18th - Virtua Fighter 2 is now backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

November 14th - YouTube user Jed Hudson revealed unused character models in the original Virtua Fighter.

February 12th - Crossover SRPG Project X Zone 2 released for the Nintendo 3DS; includes Akira and Kage as playable characters.
